Why do we cover?

Salaam. :D

In the picture above (by the way, I copied it off a poster competition), it says: "Women should not be like the moon which everyone can see uncovered; women should be like the Sun which makes the eyes bow down before they can see it".

What do YOU think?

Actually, I do think so too..

What's the point if you wear something  just to show off your body? What's even the point of being a naturist  (nudist)?! Don't get me wrong. It's not that I'm ANTI-this and ANTI-that. It's just that I think, everyone must have a value, or dignity. Am I not right?

I'm typing this entry with a calm mood, sorry if you're thinking that I'm being angry. Again, sorry.

Aim of this post? I guess I was just impressed by the analogy used there, so I just thought: Why not spread the message?

^_^ Back to the topic...

Once I saw an article on Facebook, it was something about hijabs. What are hijabs? Hijab = headscarf.
It kind of goes like this (sorry it was a long time ago, so...) :

A woman: "Why do Muslim women have to cover the whole body except the hands, (feet), and face?"
A scholar: "Have you seen how the cheap/usual and expensive/special jewellery sold?"
The woman: "Yes..?"
The scholar: "How do people keep the cheap/usual ones at a selling-place?"
The woman: "They're exposed and.. yeah"
The scholar: "How about the expensive/special ones?"
The woman:"They're kept behind and protected"
The scholar: "That's the answer to your question. Women are very special, so that's why they're covered."

Again, an analogy.. I love analogies.. It makes you understand something more deeply. Doesn't it?

Opss, I have to stop blogging now.

Till the next post,
Anis xx
