Eid ul-Fitr this year & French competition
Eid Mubarak (happy eid), to all Muslims! Good day, to all people.
So, how is it going? Great? I suppose I lost heaps of weight (or mass; whichever you prefer to call it) in Ramadan as I'm fasting, but when Eid comes, I've 'pumped' myself up again! You wanna know why? Because...
Well, I was on a diet, to be slim and healthy, but that sadly lasted for two days only! So now I'm doing sports, i.e. skipping, running, skipping, running.. XD
Anyways,
I want to thank the people who invited us to their lovely house, that was very delightful; visiting them I mean.
A wee info 'bout Eid:
Eid ul-Fitr, Eid al-Fitr, Id-ul-Fitr, or Id al-Fitr (Arabic: عيد الفطر ‘Īdu l-Fiṭr), often abbreviated toEid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting(sawm). Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity," while Fiṭr means "breaking the fast". The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. The first day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month Shawwal.Source: The honest and loyal Wikipedia.

- when my family and I went visiting our friends, they serve a whole lot of food, maybe even sufficient for the whole lot of Christchurch citizens to come! Okay, maybe I was exaggerating, but the food was, no kidding, a lot! So, because I'm 'polite' to them, I had to eat (hehehe..) :3 . At the first destination (aka the mosque), we gobbled cos we were hungry. However, at the ninth house in the same day, we nibbled and then at home we fainted.... nah, we were just tired from eating, LOL.
- Maybe to redeem the daylights of not eating in Ramadan, I ate a lot in Shawwal. (Oh Anis, what a lame excuse!)

Eid Day
I slept in my bed and then woke up in it,
Then I showered and put on my best Eid outfit,
When I was convinced that I looked good,
I treated my stomach with some pleasant food,
After a while, my family and I went to the mosque to pray,
On that very special day,
All of Muslims there praised God,
That was indeed familiar, not odd,
We shook hands and hugged each other,
I hugged my friend like she was my sister,
We seek from each other forgiveness,
So that what will come is happiness,
Again the 'handsome' food seemed to attract me,
I had some and oh la la; delicious it turned out to be,
We visited almost each friend,
And hoped the day will not end.

So what do you think? A great poem? Well, it does rhyme, thank God! Hooray! Finally I'm an amateur poet. :)
So after we went to the mosque (for Christians, they go to the church. As for Muslims, we go to the mosque. Understand?), my parents sent me to school, but at that time the school has ended. Hmm, you may think it's odd, going to school when it has already ended???!! But that time, there was a competition on Year 9 French, I was nominated from my class. I went to school, and tried to avoid bumping into my friends. Because, otherwise they will ask me, 'What on earth are you doing here? Why weren't you at school earlier? ' and I can't be bothered explaining the cause.. anyway, I made it to the classroom they told me. I competed and, praise be to God, I won! I was among the best two French-speakers in year 9 at Burnside High (hey, Burnside High is a gigantic school, in case you've wondered why I'm so happy about it) So Madame Boile told me there is going to be a prize-giving event, but not yet. Ahh, sweet taste of victory on a special day!
