Canterbury-Lincoln Uni. Malay Post-graduate (CLUMP) Ladies
Salaam'alaikum and a g'day to all!
Today, I'm going to tell you about a programme called 'CLUMP Ladies'. This programme is a Malay Islamic ladies' programme where Malay ladies that study their PhD (Doctoral Studies) here go and seek knowledge to understand more deeply about Islam (actually they also share their useful knowledge).
It runs every Saturday fortnightly. The big topic they are discussing on now is, 'Solat: A Revisit'. It has about twelve sessions. Today it is the fourth session, that means there are eight more sessions to go. The other ladies and me (well, I'm not actually a lady, perhaps a young teenager will suit me best as I am thirteen after all) today has discussed on the part: Al-Fatihah. Al-Fatihah is the first surah/soorah (kind of like a part or story) of The Holy Quran (or you might spell it as Koran). It is compulsory for us, Muslims, to recite this surah every raka'ah of the solah/ solat/ prayer (the performed one). Why is that? Well actually there are many benefits from reading or reciting this surah for Muslims. Among of those countless benefits are:

If Allah wills (InsyaAllah),
- the recitor's status will be altered as per the desire of the
heart - the recitor's poverty is removed
- the recitor's debt will be cleared miraculously
- the recitor's disease will be cured
- the recitor cannot be overpowered or vulnerable
- the recitor's enemy will become fearful
- the recitor's friends will be friendlier
